Sales Director - IT/Technology Services

Are you ready to build something from the ground up? As our Sales Director (Player-Coach), you will be instrumental in establishing and scaling the sales function at Gemini Consulting & Services. This is a hands-on role where you will define the initial sales strategy, personally drive our first key customer acquisitions across our broad portfolio of service offerings, and lay the foundation for a repeatable, scalable sales process. You'll be a critical part of our early growth story, working directly with leadership and making a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the initial go-to-market and sales strategy for Gemini's broad portfolio of services, including consulting, cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP), AI/ML, and enterprise applications (SAP, Workday).
- Identify, target, and actively prospect potential clients in key industries.
- Manage the full sales cycle: Pitching Gemini's value proposition, navigating complex sales processes, negotiating contracts, and closing deals across our diverse service lines.
- Build and manage the initial sales pipeline, potentially selecting and implementing a CRM system, B2B marketing partners for prospecting and lead generation
- Collaborate closely with leadership and technical/delivery teams to ensure client success and provide crucial market feedback.
- Represent Gemini Consulting & Services professionally at industry events or meetings (virtual or in-person).
- Contribute to defining sales processes, metrics, and reporting frameworks for future scaling.
- Potentially coordinate or execute initial lead generation activities until dedicated resources are in place.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably within IT Consulting, Digital Services, Cloud Services, AI/ML solutions, or Enterprise Software/SaaS.
- Proven, quantifiable track record of exceeding sales quotas, particularly in acquiring new logos or launching services in new markets.
- Strong understanding of business transformation concepts and the value proposition of diverse IT services, such as cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Workday), AI/ML implementation, or digital consulting.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter mentality: Highly motivated, proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience in a founding sales role or within a fast-growing technology/consulting organization.
- Experience in selling services related to specific platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, NetSuite, Workday, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or industries.
- Experience in selecting, implementing, and utilizing CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot).
- An existing network of contacts within potential target industries or client segments.
- Experience in leading or mentoring junior sales staff (even informally).
