Assam Bio Ethanol Pvt. Ltd. operates a refinery in Assam producing fuel-grade ethanol from bamboo biomass. The facility has an annual rated capacity of 48,900 MT of ethanol, 19,000 MT of furfural, 11,000 MT of acetic acid, and 31,000 MT of food-grade liquid CO₂, serving diverse industrial and energy markets.

The Challenge

The client aimed to implement the latest public cloud ERP solution under GROW with SAP using SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. The scope included FICO, MM, SD, PM, PP, QM, and HCM modules, along with the migration of historical data from SAP ECC 6.0 to the Public Cloud. The objective was to modernize operations through standardized best practices while ensuring data continuity and regulatory compliance.

The Solution

The implementation followed the SAP Activate methodology, enabling a structured, fit-to-standard approach aligned with SAP best practices. This ensured streamlined end-to-end processes, real-time financial and operational visibility, embedded analytics, and a clean-core architecture supported by quarterly innovations.

Integration with the external SCM system was enabled through SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), facilitating secure, real-time data exchange across procurement, inventory, production, sales, and financial transactions while maintaining system integrity and scalability.
